Believe, Achieve, Succeed

St. Michael

St. Michael the Archangel, is a symbol of strength and courage in Christian belief. Often depicted as a warrior, St. Michael represents the triumph of good over evil and the power of faith to overcome adversity.

One of the most well-known stories about St. Michael is his battle against the fallen angel Lucifer, who rebelled against God. According to tradition, there was a great war in heaven between the angels loyal to God, led by St. Michael, and the rebellious angels led by Lucifer. St. Michael, with his sword of righteousness, defeated Lucifer and cast him out of heaven, along with the other rebellious angels. This story serves as a reminder for Christians to stand firm in faith and trust in God's protection amidst the struggle between good and evil.

St. Michael's Influence on Our School

At St. Michael's CE Primary School, we draw inspiration from St. Michael in his battle against darkness. St. Michael embodies the values of courage and hope that are central to the ethos of our school. His unwavering courage and victory over darkness symbolises hope, reminding us that light can prevail over darkness even in the toughest times. Just as he fearlessly confronted challenges, we are inspired to navigate obstacles with resilience and faith, trusting in God's guidance.

St. Michael's commitment to protecting and guiding others reflects the value of community, encouraging us to support and uplift one another in our school family. Additionally, St. Michael's role as a protector aligns with our values of trust and love, reminding us to have faith in God's plan and to lean on His understanding in all aspects of our lives.

As we reflect on the example set by St. Michael, we strive to cultivate a culture of courage in all that we do. In our school we support one another, lift each other up and face challenges with determination. Together, we embody the courage to flourish in the love of God, just as St. Michael did in his divine mission.
