Nursery
Welcome to our Nursery at St Michael's Primary.
Our Nursery staff this year include Miss Coe and Miss Elston and together we strive to provide our children with a fantastic start to their schooling. Please see our latest year group newsletter here.
Within our Nursery we provide our children with a learning environment and an early years curriculum that is imaginative, stimulating and thought provoking. Through this we aim to develop creative, curious and independent lifelong learners. Our Nursery is a happy and secure environment in which the children play and learn. All children are given opportunities to increase in confidence and independence through play and interaction with others.
We feel it is important for the children to develop communication and language skills that will allow them to become good communicators and to gain social skills that will provide them with a firm foundation for future learning.
Through our curriculum we provide a wide range of opportunities for children to develop in all of the following areas:
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Communication and Language
- Physical Development
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding the World
- Expressive Arts and Design
At St. Michael's we believe that children achieve more when parents and carers become partners in the learning process. We value your input, ideas and opinions and will always make ourselves available to discuss any concerns or queries that you may have about your child's development and well being.
